Wellcome to the Dollhouse, 2023

Photogrammetry scans of sculptures and a dollhouse, animated 3D, 3 Min. video loop

My grandfather built the dollhouse out of thin wooden pallets for my mother when she was a child. She decorated it with shiny, colorful wallpaper. It  has three floors, complete with stairs, doors, windows, a living room, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and more.

The dollhouse serves as a dynamic space for shifting scenarios—a stage where new scenes are constantly set. It offers possibilities that a house modeled on reality cannot. The colorful windows are inspired by those in my grandfather's actual home, while the sculptures were digitally inserted into the 3D model, reflecting my vision.

For the first time, these sculptures come to life—they respond, move, and embody a fluid, non-static existence. The dollhouse becomes a portal to a parallel world, free from the constraints of familiar reality or family history.

The work was exhibited at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design as part of the graduate exhibition, curated by Ilanit Konopny, Jerusalem, Israel.
